Scare of toxemia

I went to the dr wed. and my BP was really high over an hour and half it stayed at 151/10. Dr sent me to hospital to get bloodwork done to rule out toxemia and to be monitored. All the bloodwork came back fine so I am just waiting for the results of the 24 hour urine test to totally rule out Toxemia. I find out Tuesday what the results are. The dr said we would be delivering the babies if it was toxemia, I am 31 weeks today and 2 weeks ago the babies were 3 lb 5oz and 3lb 3oz. Dr put me out of work till i deliver due to BP and to stay stress free no bed rest yet but I will just be taking it easy till I find out the results. I'm trying to stay stress free we are all set if the girls were too come I know it will be early but I am trying to not think about it too much.

Any advice or past experience with toxemia would be appreciated....

Re: Scare of toxemia

Had my 1st son at 36w and my twins at 35w3d from pre eclapmsia. Not sure if it is exactly the same or similar but I hears it referred to as both terms while I was in the hospital.

With DS I was past 36w so they just induced me.

With the twins I was just shy of 34w when BP started to rise. My 24 hr urine cam eback borderline. I was not on official bedrest but the doc wanted me to really take it east. By 35w my BP was higher and I was admitted to the hospital to be monitored. They wanted to try and keep the babies in til 36w. 3 days later my BP was still high and I was having headaches and blurry vision so they did a c/s then.

Try to relax......stay calm.....stay off your feet as much as possible and drink a lot of water!!
