Re: unemployment
I'm in the same boat as you, unfortunately. The last payment I received was June 9th. To say things have been difficult is an understatement. The reason right now legislation has been held up was that they were waiting for Sen. Byrd's replacement to be named. The legislation passed the House and next Tuesday it will be voted on by the Senate. The replacement is another democrat and will be the deciding vote. From what I have read, it look like its going to pass.
I have a job interview next Saturday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will pan out for me. How long have you been out of work. I've been out since 11/08. Just know that you're not alone

Re: unemployment
I feel your pain as well.
I've been unemployed since December and looking for a job. But I'm also pregnant and due in 6 weeks... not many people are hiring pregnant women these days.

Re: unemployment
I feel your pain too. I have been unemployed since last June. If the extension is not approved then my unemployment will be end in 3 weeks. If it ends, it will be very hard for us too. I hope what the PP said, it is true that it will be passed next week. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

I had the same issue and I was told I needed to file a new claim and I did. I got 6 more weeks left. My year was on 7-4.

Re: unemployment
The extention was passed. From what I read, there's going to be a final senate vote tonight and then Pres. Obama will sign the bill tomorrow. Unfortunately, we won't be getting the extra $25.00 a week. I think that was one of the bargaining chips they used to get the votes. Still at least its something. The benefits are retroactive from June 2nd. I wonder how long its going to take before we get that money?

Re: unemployment
From what I understand, once Pres Obama signs it. It will take 2-4 weeks for us to receive our money.

Re: unemployment
I just read this morning that New York and Pennsylvania back payments should go out next week. In other states like Nevada and North Carolina, it may take a few weeks.
In addition, I just found out that because the unemployment rate dropped in NY, we'll only be able to collect for 93 weeks. After August 16, no new claims will be excepted into Tier 4.

so if someone I know is waiting to move into tier 4- finished at the end of june with 3
they will be able to get it?
she is worried

I would think so because its before August 16th. Its confusing with these tiers. I would call unemployment just to make sure.
