It's starting all over again...
I haven't had a chance to be on much lately. I started a new job on Monday, but I was able to get to the hemotologist two weeks ago. He is pretty sure I have some form of Von Willebrand Disease. They did some type of clotting test where they cut my arm in two places with a razor. I was supposed to bleed for about 12-15 minutes, I bleed for over three hours. It wasn't a bad bleed, but then thinking back to when I gave birth, I bleed to the point where they were considering giving me a transfusion. I don't understand why they hadn't caught this before. I have new bruises on a daily basis and the answer I have always gotten from my doctor was that I have thin skin.
Anyway, I am supposed to go get another screening and a platelet function test done, but I just can't find the time with this new job.
I have to wait for either a holiday or find a hospital lab to do it on a weekend. But I started bleeding on the 31st, it got bad again on the 6th and it shows no signs of slowing down. I have to call he doctor tomorrow because he is going to prescribe something that may stop it. I'll update you as I find anything else out.

Oh lord....Im so sorry to hear this. I feel terrible for you. I knwo at a new job it must be hard to get time off or anything, but I hope yoru able to see the DR, get the tests done and get some answers. The waiting and wanting to know must be making you crazy.

Well at least the hematologist is doing something about it. I don't know how you've stood it for so long. I hope they give you some real answers very soon.

I felt the same way after my diagnosis, in hindsight I saw all of the symptoms.
