What to do with kids tomorrow?

I have a day off from work tomorrow and although I used to be a SAHM I have no idea what to do with my kids tomorrow?!?! We were supposed to go to a friend's pool but it's good chance of rain. Where should I take the kids? My daughter wants to go to the toy store to buy a skate board (she's 7 and my other one is 4.5) and I can take them for lunch. I don't want to sit around at home in front of TV all day. We will probably stop by Barnes and Noble too.

I live in Eastern Queens but would go as far as W. Nassau. Don't want to go to LICM because they'll be going in a couple of weeks with DH.

DC are going bowling today with DW and my sis and BIL. DS is 7 and DD is 4.5. With the lane bumpers up, the ball always at least makes it all the way down the lane (it may bounce off the pins, but it does go all the way down... Chat Icon Chat Icon )
DC enjoy it. It's not a all-day activity, just like an hour or two. When the 4 of us go, it's roughly an hour for a game.

Maybe you could take them to the beach in the morning - before the rain - and then go see a movie at the theatre?? I think it's not supposed to get nasty until afternoon.
