I Don't Miss Wedding Planning
So I'm not technically a newlywed, been married almost 3 years now, but I happened to be cleaning out an old dresser drawer last night that had old wedding planning crap in it. I must say, I do NOT miss wedding planning at all.
All the junk mail especially (mostly from LIW vendors, lol!), not to mention all the countless to do lists and checklists...my life is busy as it is, I look back and think how did I do it? No one in my BP really helped me, or my mom or MIL, all I ever got from everyone was pressure to have everything done like a year sooner than it needed to be...nothing but "are you done yet?" comments.
So glad that chapter of my life is over!!!

I agree... I drove myself crazy doing a theme and everything that comes with that.... But here I am over a yr later and still have not done my albums  i feel like it'll never be over... i have no ambition for that

I miss the little things I did to personalize it... the favor tags, the Channa Plaque, finding my DOJ, etc...

I had a horrid experience planning my wedding. I feel like cr@p saying that b/c I feel like it diminishes my joy @ being DH's wife or the actual day. I know in my heart thats not the case. Being his wife is all I have wanted since the moment he walked back into my life (we knew each other when we were younger) & my wedding day was one of the best and exciting days I have ever had.
I must say though, I felt suffocated by all these awesome ladies on LIW that seemed to LOVE every aspect of their planning & seemed all know exactly what they wanted and what flower would work best w/their BM dresses, etc & etc. I was a complete mess!!!! I had no idea what I wanted and literally made last min decisions on EVERYTHING!!!
A major part of my disdain for the planning has to do w/ my parents & MIL. The 3 of them made my life (each in their own special way  ) a living nightmare. I'm basically over it but w/out a doubt will NEVER plan another wedding again!!!!!

To be honest, I was sooo liberal in my planning that I was not always focusing on it, so I don't miss it that much.

Ive been married about 9 months now and I totally miss planning my wedding. I didnt really have help from anyone else but I didnt care. I am a crafty DIY'er and I love searching for ways to make my day beautiful and different. I had so much fun I keep telling my husband I would do it every year!!!

Same with me!!! I feel like I planed my wedding by myself with help fron my DH (and lots of help from liw hah! I DIYed everything and I LOVED planning. honestly the biggest stress about the planning process for me was finding a dress, I had a hard time finding one that gave me the "this is the one" feeling.

I enjoyed planning up until the very end. The month before the wedding all the stress really got to me, DH & I where fighting all the time (which we never use to do). Two days before the wedding, DH & I made it our goal to enjoy every moment of our day so that all the stress & arguments where really worth it. & thats what we did. We fully enjoyed every minute of our weddng day & had an amazing honeymoon.

I miss some aspects and def don't miss other aspects.
i def have a few regrets and I actually wish I was a little more selfish when planning. DH and I gave in a lot to the things that our families wanted and we let a lot of the things we wanted go. If I did it over again... I'd be more selfish for sure! haha!!
I also had a lot of stress and drama going on all around me, at every corner it seemed. I def don't miss that either.

i am actually relieved its over!  there was so much stress leading up to the wedding, especially with family member/BP drama, and little things that i felt like i was getting into arguments with DH over, now i hear ladies going through the same thing with stressing over wedding details that i'm glad its done!

I completely agree! I too have been married 3 years now and its just a nightmare to think about all the planning. Its amazing I managed to stay sane and get it all accomplished. My goodness...

I miss the day itself, because DH and I had such an amazing time and I loved what it symbolized, but I do not miss the stress and the money being spent. DH actually said to me after the wedding, "That was the best day of my life, but let's never get married again." Agreed. 100%!

I was pretty miserable throughout the entire planning... I miss the doing the little projects but I do not miss the drama or the tears.

I found planning fun for the first few months, but as the day got closer I became incredibly stressed. I'd say I don't really miss planning at all. However, I'd do my wedding day over again in a second!

i miss it. this October will be a year. it went by really fast. i'm so happy to be married. i still miss the planning part. i really enjoyed going to showcases, vendors, and dress shopping. i keep watching my wedding video. lol.

I had an atrocious wedding planning experience! So I don't miss it even a little!
We've been married a year and 16 days and I've thanked god every day that I'm done with that nightmare.
I also haven't done my albums...

I DEFINITELY do NOT miss planning whatsoever!!! I loved my wedding but we all know that people go bonkers when you're planning a wedding...I do not miss the bad behavior at all.
A couple of my friends are planning weddings...I love hearing about the details and I am happy to help them plan...but the best part of it is that I get to walk again and don't have to deal with drama!!
