No longer housebroke
Dallas is a year old & 100% housebroke. He got neutered 2 weeks ago, so OK a little traumatic. I removed his cone today (I cut out the stitches two days prior) & he has had two accidents in our house. Both he was looking right at me!! He put his head down & just peed!! I was shocked & angry. The first time I grabbed him & took him outside. The 2nd time I was on the toilet peeing myself & couldn't get him!! He looked ashamed while doing it. He's knows it's wrong, I don't get it!!
Maybe it's just a fluke? Dallas is also going to be a big brother in 5 months. Maybe he is sensing I'm pregnant & he's upset?

Re: No longer housebroke
He may have a UTI. I would call the vet as soon as you can.

Re: No longer housebroke
Def sounds like a UTI or bladder inflammation, which could easily happen after a surgery. Please take him in ASAP!!!! It's not spiteful I am sure!!!

Re: No longer housebroke
What the other two said - UTI after surgery is common. I'd call the vet ASAP. He's still housebroken and it doesn't sound like it's spiteful at all.

Agreed. Same thing happened with our girl after she got spayed, the meds cleared it up quickly!

Re: No longer housebroke
i know our pup lost ground whenever anything funky was going on, and that includes taking antibiotics or getting vaccinations. maybe the inflammation and not feeling comfortable is throwing him off? it makes sense to call the vet and make sure it's not a sign of something bigger, but also be patient and don't sweat it too much as a long-term problem.
