Follow up Thank you email

If I met with a group of executives for a second interview and I had given my letter of recommendation to the HR person that I initially met with; should I attach my letter of recommendation to the Thank you email that I will be sending to the group that I met with? Or is that a duplication of efforts?

I would like to think that the HR manager included the letter in my file and that the executives saw it, however I do not know for sure. WWYD?

You could do that or explain in your thank you that the HR person has copies of your letters of recommendation.
