having a mental block.. need help with a thank you card (with follow up question)
got shoes/sock set from my ex boss (like ex boss 3 jobs back!!)
She's really nice.
So I am sending a thank you card..
So far all I've written is:
XXX Family
Thank you so much for the adorable shoes!
Feels like there should be more..

Follow up question
She had a baby in May.. (her second) should I send a gift now or would it seem obvious as an afterthought?
I sent them an xmas card but I honestly NEVER expected her to send us a gift!

Well let's see if it were me I'd definitely allude to how DD is all set to follow in mommy's footsteps (I have a known shoe fetish, it's a borderline addiction really)... does that work for you?
If not, just add that it was lovely of them to think of you, and wish them all the best for 2009!!!

HAH! We new mommies have to pool our brain cells sometimes. Now go write down "Buy ex boss's baby a gift" in your calendar for the first week of May before you forget!!!!
