Anyone have a longer than normal cervix that shortened at arounnd 23 1/2 weeks?
My cervix was at 46 throughout my whole pregnancy, now it's at a 34. The sono tech said it's not that much of a drop and my cervix is still in normal range, but Dr. Kofinas still wants to see me back in 1 week. Has this happened to anyone?

no sorry...Im sure it is from the pressure of the babies that is why did a cerclage ion me so early even though I was still in the normal range dr kofinas knew it would shorten as we went along....hope it stays at 34 for you!!! Keep us posted and rest (lying down) as much as possible

mine did but it was at 19 weeks i had to go back in a week and it shortened more so had cerclage at 20 wks. i believe rest helps stop it from shortening, try to rest as much as possible the next week

Mine was fine and then shortened around week 26. I was put on bedrest and delivered a month later at 30 weeks.

Thanks girls. I am still in normal range so they told me not to panic. I have to go back on Monday and see where i am at. But for now i am keeping my feet up at work and DH put me on bedrest as soon as i get home from work. Hopefully that helps.

Mine was fine. I thought I was good until about week 20/21 then it was downhill. It would be ok and then shorten again.

What did you have to do when it was shortening?
Bedrest. I also was going to the doctor twice a week...regular ob and high risk doctor. I was back and forth in the hospital. I would go they would see it was getting shorter I would go for a few days in the hospital. And this continued for two months. The last time I was put in the hospital I told them that I was staying there until they were born.
