ABA Training
Can someone explain to me how much ABA training a therapist is required to have to do EI sessions ?
What type of qualifications does an ABA therapist need to be the team leader ?

If you are doing ABA in EI - you need a great deal of training. You are shaping the brains of young children with autism, and everything needs to be done extremely systematically when implementing ABA. You also need to take and pass the Tier 1 exam - you must sign on with an agency who will then sign you up for the exam.
To be a team leader/parent trainer - you need a certain number of hours (I need to check on the specific number) where you are observing someone implementing ABA, and a certain number of hours where you are supervised (without pay) working with the student (usually the person you were observing will switch places for a specific program). These hours need to be signed off - but you need a host agency before you can start this process. After you have completed these hours, you need to pass the tier 2 exam - which you sign up the same way as you would the tier 1.
