WWYD?
My sister came across an ad in Penny Saver for me... she told me I should check it out...so I did. The hours are exactly what I'm looking for... 3-11pm... BUTTTT it's a HUUUGE pay cut then what I had as my last job. My last job before I was laid off I was Asst. I.T. I was laid off when I was 6 months pregnent. Currently I am on unemployment, taking home the max amount and we are just getting by. This job, after taxes and such, I would be bringing home about 135 LESS then what unemployment is giving. Plus, I would need to pay someone to watch my DS for 3 hours each day. So we'd be DOWN about 180 a week... which in the long run for the month is just too much. But, it's a JOB! My DS is now 8 months old. This job is just a receptionist as well... in a senior citezen home. I think I would find myself very board coming from how much work I used to be given at my last ob. Also, being home. I never sit still. But again, this is a JOB. Sooo...WWYD? Take the job with the HUUGE pay cut or just pray that something else comes along? BTW, the woman told me there is no room for advancement unless I have a nursing degree, which I don't. ....

Re: WWYD?
When is your unemployment up? If its soon then I would take the job and continue to look for work. If its not up for a while I wouldn't take it unless you can handle the pay cut.

Re: WWYD?
Well, I'm unsure LOL. "Supposidly" I am allowed 99 weeks.. I haven't even been on it for a full year yet. I don't think we can handle the pay cut, this past year has been hard enough already. Ahh... I jsut dn't know. This is just horrible. Thanks!

Re: WWYD?
I would keep looking. Not sure if this helps but I saw that national grid is hiring cust service reps. They have a 3:30 to 12am shift@ 15$ an hour.

Here is the link. It's prob going to be just over what you get on unemployment but seems like it wouldn't be boring and there is prob room for growth. http://jobsearch.monster.com/PowerSearch.aspx?re=106&co=xbgcox&ah=http%3a%2f%2fcompany.monster.com%2fbgco&aj=National+Grid&cn=National+Grid

Re: WWYD?
Thanks sooo much! But my credit is HORRRRRIBLE now since I lost my job, so any job that bases the hiring process on credit won't hire me... But I'll check it out! Thanks!!

Re: WWYD?
When I was unemployed, as much as I needed a job, I had to really look at the salary. It just didn't make sense for me to take something for the sake of having a job.... I need to pay the bills and put 2 kids in daycare. I held out, and eventually I got a great job, making more then my last job. I know it is tough - I was laid off when i was on maternity leave - hang in there.
