Feeding Twins

I was curious, I see alot of you have sayed you would make 20--22 bottles for the day. Did use a bottle warmer then?
I hear so many mixed reviews about warming the bottles, like if you warm them all they will want is a warm bottle so was curious then what do you do when you are out, and you cant warm the bottle? Thanks!!!

Re: Feeding Twins

i did room temp bottles. i had room temp water in a pitcher on the counter and used that with powder when we were home. if we were out i used the small bottles of RTF. and if by chance a bottle was in the fridge i would put it in a cup of hot water for a minute or two to take the chill off!!

Re: Feeding Twins

we always did room temp water in a pitcher and leave it on the counter.. just use the powder and thats it!

when i went out i filled the bottles to the desired amount of oz. and bought that formula dispenser and just poured it right in! just like i would do it at home!

Re: Feeding Twins

When I use RTF or premixed formula, I warm the bottles but only to RT, not warmer.
I don't like giving them freezing cold bottle, but will give them cool ones while were out.

Re: Feeding Twins

I buy gallons of water and leave them room temp with powder and make them as i go, if going somewhere i make make a big bottle of formula for the day and microwave the bottle a few seconds just to get the chill out. Or just bring powder and water and make it as they need them depends where i am going.
tried bottle warmer not a fan, took too long and i didnt like leaving it on if not in use.

Re: Feeding Twins

We give the boys cold bottles. They never had a problem w/ them.
I make up a bunch of bottles ahead of time and just take them from the fridge as needed. HTH!

Re: Feeding Twins

We do both warm RTD and room temp powder. I personally prefer the RTD.

We have never had a problem.

Re: Feeding Twins

I warm my bottles because I make them ahead of time and keep them in the fridge. I use a bottle warmer for the first feeding of the day (well, two bottle warmers Chat Icon ) because I have them upstairs. For the rest of the day, I just boil water and stick the bottles in it in a bowl. It does the trick.
I always felt like a really cold bottle might give them tummy cramps.

eta: if we are out, I do give them bottles out of the cooler...I usually try to get them up to room temp.
