Anyone have experience with court violations?
DH has been back and forth to court b/c BM is always violating the order. He misses holidays, weekends, vacations, etc... This weekend he didn't have her b/c BM got out of work at 6pm and "was to tired" to drop her off at the meet up spot. 2 wks ago SD was too sick to come over so now its been over one month since he's seen her. She won't answer her phone calls, emails or text messages. He's suppose to be able to speak to SD daily and sometimes 2 wks go by and he can't get in contact with her. Every time he goes to court she's told she has to comply with the order, but as soon as they leave her response to DH is "I don't care what they say," or "I'll wipe my a$$ with the court papers."
He has to miss a day of work, drive upstate and pay $75 to the sheriff to serve her with court papers everytime he can't see SD. It ends up costing us $$ and she gets off easy.
Is there any penalties or repercussions when you violate a visitation court order? We don't have $ for a lawyer but I wish we did b/c this has been going on now for 6 years now.

Re: Anyone have experience with court violations?
I am sure there are reprecussions for her actions ( not quite sure what they may be as we never persued a violation, though we should have )...
Does your SD have a law guardian ? That may be a start...
Also, document document, document....I know it stinks but even showing up at the meeting place with his stipulation in hand when she doesn't show and have the police fill out a report for you each and every time...
Also a log of phone attempts ...
Sorry you are going through this, unfortunately we have been there ourselves

Re: Anyone have experience with court violations?
Great advice thank you. DH called the court house and the attendant said there are repercussions for violating court orders, one of which is jail time and that BM has been lucky she hasn't gotten in trouble. We're waiting for the court date in the mail
