XPOST: Need a bar/club recommendation

I'm going out with my Aunts in NYC this Sat night for my 30th bday and we were looking for a place to go that we could dance and drink and I won't have to sell a kidney to pay the bill. These women are between 45 and 55 but they're totally NUTS so we don't need something reserved but we don't want to hang out with a whole bunch of college kids or the cast of jersey shore.

Anyone know if such a place exists

trying to think....unfortunately its almost always that places like this are expensive because they cater to an older crowd and its a nicer place.

recently i went to the upstairs at the kimberly hotel which was absolutely beautiful, enclosed roof top deck and had a dj but the music wasnt overly loud at all...people werent really dancing but towards the end of the night a couple of girls where. i would say the crowd was in their late 20s to late 30s so i dont know if your aunts would feel uncomfortable but as you said they were fun and all. pricey drinks though thats the only thing but i would say comparable to other places like this.

your criteria is exactly what i always look for, a fun place with no attitude and no half naked girls, jersey shore boys around.
