weight watchers question
I made life time but haven't gone back in about a year because I passed the two lb. allowance. If I go back to my goal weight can I just start attending meetings again or will I have to pay? What do you think of the new program? Is it worth changing or would you stick to the old method of figuring out points? The program worked as long as I was diligent about tracking my points. It was my fault I fell off the wagon. Thank you.

Re: weight watchers question
I'm not sure about going back...from what I remember I think you have to pay for every month you go over. I know if I missed a month I was supposed to pay.
As far as the new plan, you're muchbetter off starting it. I personally think its a better plan. Not only that, if you're going to meetings that's what thyell be following.

Re: weight watchers question
If I'm understanding you correctly you, you will only have to pay the weekly fee until you get back to within 2 lbs of goal weight. I'm in the same situation as you and just went back for the first time last Saturday. I had to pay the weekly fee and was told I will need to pay until I get back to w/in 2 lbs of goal weight.
So far, I like the new program. I love that all fruits are free and I actually feel like I am able to eat more now than on the old program. Good luck!

Re: weight watchers question
Regardless of whether or not you are above your goal weight, you will have to pay one weekly fee ($13) for having skipped at least a month's weigh in. If you are over the two pound limit, you will have to pay at each weigh in until you get back to the two pound limit.
So, if you haven't been in a year, and you're within your two pounds, you pay $13 (because you haven't been to meetings).
If you haven't been in a year and you're not within two pounds, you pay each week until you get back.
ETA: About the new program - just remember that if you go back to meetings, you will be given new program info. We no longer talk about any of the old programs and all of the old materials have been destroyed.

Question though.....I get the WW never talks about the old programs but why do they not talk about Simply Satisfied even though it is clearly a program since its in the website and in the book that explains the PP program?

Re: weight watchers question
Thank you all for your responses. This is what I seem to remember and thank you MrsS6510 for refreshing my memory. This is a good incentive to get myself within the allowable range. If I only have to pay one $13 fee I will give the new program a chance. What a pity to throw away all the past literature and books we all bought, though.
Can anyone give me a quick explanation about how this new program works? Do we still count points? Is it as easy as the old method of fiber/calories/fat = points.

You mean Simply Filling? We dont talk much about it because it's a harder way to follow - it means no tracking but having to know when to stop eating. But it will be discussed in meetings in the future and you can always ask your leader about it.

Points Plus are calculated off of protein, fat, fiber, and carbs. It's no longer about calories. You now count Points Plus values instead of points, and your daily points plus target is different, as are the values of most foods.

Re: weight watchers question
Thanks. I just spent 20 min. waiting for a rep on the phone. Good thing I have the time being stuck indoors today.
Seems that my lifetime number doesn't show up in the system. When I moved I had doubts about the ladies at the new location. I gave them my new info, and when I went back a second time and they couldn't find it. They brushed it off and "did me a favor" if I recall, by letting me sit in on a meeting. I should have made an issue then but I let it slide for some reason. At that point, I went away on an all-inclusive vacation and that was suicide! I never returned to WW since I knew I was over my goal. Now I am anxious to start again and this is very annoying. Hopefully the woman I spoke to will follow thru with a new number as she said she would. Does this happen when people move and records just disappear? It makes no sense with everything computerized even though it is a year later.
