Re: Any teachers pregnant with multiples?
I teach high school Social Studies and am finding it very difficult to work. I am 28 weeks and will be discussing this with my doc on Monday. People don't realize how physically draining it is to be "on" and on your feet walking around and teaching all day. It is also difficult for me because I am not sleeping. The fatigue makes everything harder, especially moving from class to class. I got a cart and use the elevator when I can. I am wiped out and don't know how long I'll make it.
Hang in there!

Re: Any teachers pregnant with multiples?
I'm so glad to hear that I am not alone!! I'm only 20 weeks pregnant and I'm finding it so difficult to work. I teach middle school math and I'm constantly lightheaded and dizzy while I'm in the middle of teaching. My kids can see it. I don't know what to do because I can't teach the subject sitting down. My doctor says I'm eating right and that my blood work is normal, it's just that the little ones are draining me. I'm also having a difficult time sleeping.
Hang in there, too! Let me know what your doctor says. I'm going for my Level II on Tuesday. I'm excited to find out what they are and if there is anything that can be done to help.

Re: Any teachers pregnant with multiples?
i am a teacher and was pregnant last year, it was hard, i am lucky in that i can sit down when i need too, and my supervisors were very understanding of that, i stopped working at 33 weeks, and that was because i got sick and dehydrated and just never went back, i was so happy to just rest i made it to 37 weeks
just keep eating right drinking water and try to sit anytime its at all possible

Re: Any teachers pregnant with multiples?
I teach kindergarten...this is my last week because the following week is February break and after that I'll be 37 weeks....so there is no point going back after that because the c-section is scheduled for the next week. I have been very lucky...I have the most wonderful full day aide who has helped me so much. She walks the kids the specials and lunch. I teach in the basement of the school and we have an elevator so when I need to get to the 3rd floor I can take that. I teach a lot of small groups sitting at a table. I also have been taking some 1/2 days last week and this week to help get through.

Re: Any teachers pregnant with multiples?
When I was pregnant it was exhausting. I was about 17 weeks when school ended and I didn't go back that September due to strict bedrest. The doctor never wanted me to go back to work but I was going to and then had major cervix problems, contractions and was hospitalized.
