Group B Strep
Anyone have this or know about it? I never had it with any other pregnancy and honestly don't recall them checking me for it but somehow my Dr mentioned me having it. Me being google crazy of course I googled it and gave myself just one more thing to worry about!

I had the test done when I was pregnant with DS (3 years ago) and as far as I can remember it was very routine. It's just to determine if you will need antibiotics during delivery.

same here i had it with my DD which was years ago and it just meant if and when my water broke or when labor started i needd to go to the hospital to get put on medicine and i think it was penicillin actually and also consider it a small blessing instead of being in labor at home, you get to be arouund nursing and doctors... they havent checked me for this yet sine i am now prego with twins i need to ask actually...

Same here. I just asked my dr. if I'll need the test again since i"m having a C/S (I thought it was just an issue with vaginal births) but he said I will still have the test. I forget why now though.

I was positive for it when I had my twins, and they just put me on IV antibiotics, even though I was having a sched. c-section.
I'm having the test for it again tonight.
