What type of birth did you have (v/c/ or both) and what were the positions of each baby - and what type of twins, different placenta, diferent sac, same sac

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

My doctor won't even consider a natural birth. C section only for twins. I have differnt sac twins.

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

Im having a c-section next week. I had one for DD #1 so this is a repeat but also baby B is head up so it would have been a c-section regardless.

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

my 1st DS was a vaginal delivery and I really wanted to try again and my dr. was totally on board for it.

but when i developed pre-eclampsia, both babies had turned to transverse so i had a c/s

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

Baby A was breech so I was scheduled for a c-section. Separate sacs. I ended up with an emergency section at 36 weeks though.

ETA- Had both babies been head down (and had I not needed the emergency c) I would have tried for a v-birth and my doctor would have been on board.

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

My first DC was born via c-section.

Doctors would only let me go for a VBAC if both babies were head down, and if I went early.
Turns out Baby A was head down, and Baby B was sideways across the top of baby A, like a letter "T". I ended up needing the c-section bc of this, plus I developed preeclampsia.
ETA: 2 sacs, 2 placentas.

My Chat Icon Chat Icon were in the same sac so we had no choice but to have a c-section. Both of mine were breach when I delivered but I was only 31 weeks 6 days!

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

Baby A has been going back and forth between breech and head down. This week she was breech. Sono tech said if she were head down and went out the canal Baby B would go head down because she was concave, or something like that.

I have mono di twins (separate sacs, same placenta).

I am delivering via c-section anyway because I had one with my DS.

i had a c-section because DS (baby A) was breech. I would have attempted vaginal if they were both head down.

My girls were mono chorionic di amnionic...

Both were head down....

Baby A was the larger of the 2....

Delivered them both, vaginally, without meds....

Essentially, as far as their presentation was concerned you couldnt ask for better....

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

As of now my Drs are planning a vaginal birth for the girls as long as baby A is head down.

Two sacs, one placenta.

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

My twins were di-di and baby A (DS) was vertex, baby B (DD) was breech.
The doctor said she flipped the day I went in for my c-section, so I decided on a vaginal birth.
I still don't think she was really head down, but whatever. So, DS was born vaginally and then they said DD was back breech. I didn't want to go through a c-section after pushing for 3 hours, so I opted for a breech extraction (they pulled her out by her legs). I felt OK with it because my doc had done many of them and DD was sooo much smaller than DS.

Re: Type of birth and position of twins

I had a c section with DD #1 so I had a c section with the twins. Twins were two sacs, two placentas - both head down and were in perfect position for a vaginal delivery, according to my Dr. But she was against my having a VBAC.
