Place to adopt a pet...not a dog or cat?

I'd like to adopt a pet but not a dog or a cat (DH is allergic). Are there any shelters or agencies that have other animals up for adoption? (other meaning birds, reptiles, etc)

petfinder.com? You can do a search for the area you're in and find different shelters and rescue groups

Just make sure that your DH is not allergic to birds if you plan to adopt one. Some breeds like cockateils have a lot of dander.

You can definitely find plenty of reptiles on petfinder.

Thank you to everyone who gave a website or advice. I'm currently emailing back and forth with someone about a possible adoption. Still need to do some research before I make the committment!

There are so many bunnies that need good homes. Especially after Easter when kiddies get tired of themChat Icon Chat Icon
