a little about me and do you have time for a few more WW questions?

I want to start by saying that you WW pro's are so helpful!
I tried WW yearsss ago when I had like 10 pounds to lose (what I would do for that right now lol) anyway I wasnt really motivated, and I think too young to be bothered with measuring, meetings etc. etc. so I didnt really "believe" in it.

Ive been an average weight my whole life, sometimes thinner, sometimes chubbier lol but overall 150 is my comfort weight and easily maintainable. I didnt really pack it on until I had my girls. We went on our 2 weeks hawaiian HM, came home, got pregnant had DD1, barely lost the weight from her, then got pregnant (18 months laterChat Icon) with DD2. I only gained 5 lbs with my second pregnancy which is good, but thats just because I was already a huge chubba from not losing the first pregnancy weight. After I stopped BF DD2 I actually gained MORE weight, ugh. Sooo anyway now that I am pretty much done with having another child its really time to concentrate on my body and put the work in and get it off, for so many reasons that we all have and also just because im ready!!!!!! I cant believe ive been this huge for 4 years.

I did the optifast program, which for me was 11 weeks of a liquid diet. I know its extreme and not for everyone, but I adored it. I lost 45 lbs on it. I now workout 4-5 times a week and I also love that too!!! Its been many years since ive loved working out lol.

I have decided for the remaining 45 lbs or so that I want to do WW. everyone seems to say that it works. I love that I can do it online, not have to do meetings and the app is great! Ive been on it almost a week and im coming in way under my daily points. maybe its because of my shrunken appetite due to the optifast, or the amount of fruits veggies that i'm having, but yesterday was the closest I came to my daily points and I had 5 leftover. I am also earning and not using activity points which is fine by me. I just dont want to be too under and not lose weight, but I truly am satisfied.

question 2 is that I have bought some WW products and I am seeing their point value is different on the bag/box than in the app. for example, I got the WW vanilla yogurt which said 1 cup is a serving and thats 2 points, on the website it says 6oz is 3 points? Also the WW wheat english muffins on the bag say 2 points, on the website said 3 or 4? which should I go by? I did the calc and it seems the packaging is accurate so ive created my own foods.

Lastly, does it really work?? Silly question I know, I just cant imagine eating whatever you want really and as long as you stay within your points you lose weight?

So sorry this is so long but im going to be a regular on here and wanted to introduce myself too. What a great supportive board!

I also ordered the scale from WW so i think that will help with my turkey measurements etc... online it says deli sliced turkey is 1 point for 3 slices.. but then another turkey said it was 1 point per slice (which is what I go by).

First, I want to say that WW does work! You have to make it work!

I am down 56lbs (as of last Saturday) and this is the longest I have ever stuck with a program.

I go to the meetings, because, they inspire me and having someone else weigh me, helps a lot.

As for the packaging, WW changed over to Points Plus back in Nov. Some of the packaging hasn't been changed yet!
The "new logo" is more of a triangle and the old is a circle.

I just take out my calculator (either the one I bought at the center of use the app on my phone) and stand in the grocery store and calculate it..LOL DH walks away from me! hahahaa

I think there are still "issues" with the tracker coming up with different points.
When I make a sandwich (lunch meat), I measure out 2oz and count it as 2 points..Always have.

I hope this info. helps and I wish you Good Luck! I really do like the program because you can eat whatever you want, just track it! Chat Icon

There are definitely issues still with the tracker. If you have the product with the PointsPlus values on the packaging, go by that.

Definitely weigh your deli meats. If you get it sliced at a deli, the thickness varies. I make a sandwich with 3oz of turkey or ham and it's only 1 PP more.
