Thinking ahead to end of year teacher gifts

If your DC is continuing school during the summer, do you give end of year gifts in June or when the summer session is over in August? My DS will be in the same class with the same teachers I believe during the summer (although I have to double check that).

I have ALOT to buy for:
Teacher
2 TA's
2 or 3 floaters
2 bus drivers
2 bus matrons
1 ST
1 OT
1 music teacher
1 social worker (for social skills class he still gets at Kidz)

Am I missing anyone? I just want to get a head start since it is going to get expensive

I don't know. I gave at Christmas/Holiday time.

Now thanks to your post...I have to buy at the end of the year too.

Officially per our SD, the school year ends in June. So school over the Summer is really next year school calendar. Not sure it would help but I guess June is when I would give the gifts.

i worked an 11 month school year. The reg year ends in June and then summer session starts. I always received gifts in June from the kids even though they stayed with me till August. I also gave them their "moving up" gifts in June at our party. I plan on doing the same for ds teachers and thanks to u have to start thinking about a gift!

We've been doing gifts for the end of the school year, but I've noticed not everyone does. I think last year we gave out inexpensive (but nice) beach towels with a small DD gift card added for the teacher & therapists. They all seemed to like them. We always write a nice card with a pic of DS on it, too, that they all love. I can't remember what i did for end of summer... maybe I just brought in some goodies for everyone?

You guys haven't been there that long, so if you wind up doing something, don't feel like you have to go all out.

I saw E on Friday. I can't believe how big he got and handsome. I went up for a Mothers Day party.

I did it in August when he was done. I did Starbucks giftcards. They all loved that. I think i had about the same amount of people and i spent $175! It was well worth it though! If i could have did more i would have!

i ended up ordering cute beach towels from kmart and really cute beach bags from amazon (colors matched up well). each set came out to $15!
