Doctors in Smithtown/Dix Hills/ Commack area?
I am looking for a new primary physician in the Commack/ Smithtown/ Dix Hills area. Any recommendations are extremely appreciated!

My family has used Dr. Richard Gold and his practice for over 20 years. I went somewhere closer to where I live for a physical and went right back to him. When you get a physical he also does an EKG and they draw the blood right there in the office. He then meets you in his office to go over things. A real personal experience. No rush job at all. It's right on Main Street in Smithtown. 265-5858

I go to Dr. Ciobanu who is a part of Dix Hills Medical Associates. They are on Commack Rd.

I've been going to Dix Hills Medical for over 20 years. I go to anyone there BUT Dr Ciobanu. She misdiagnosed me twice when she first came there about 12 years ago.
She told me I had Lyme disease- went to a specialist- I did not
She told me I had some form of streptococcal meningitis or something like that- made me leave work bc I was contagious, made my boyfriend (now husband) go on meds, made us all FREAK OUT- turned out it was NORMAL bacteria 
Just an FYI. It was a long time ago. Hopefully she has more experience now.
I actually love the PA there!

How did you get an appt with her? I just called and they said her NEXT appointment available for a new patient was January of next year!

Another vote for Dr.Gold!
Dr. Gold is great (and very handsome, I may add), but you literally age 10 years waiting in that darn office.
