5 weeks before the wedding....and

I've totally fallen apart, I'm bouncing around the same weight for a month or more...

It's my fault. I'm not tracking consistently, i'm not making time to exercise, I'm not always making time to plan and cook meals.

I am just 1-3 lbs (depending on the week) from the initial goal I set for myself...I really think I could lose 5-10 lbs by the wedding.

It's just a lot of stress and work is also stressful.

Please give me some advice/encouragement.

I actually NEED to lose a few more lbs because after I lost SO much weight since ordering the gown (20 lbs), the seamstresses are actually taking it in a little extra for my 2nd fitting which is in 2 weeks.

I'll never have better motivation to lose weight than now, and I just can't do it.

HELP!

Re: 5 weeks before the wedding....and

First, you have to change your mindset. Stop telling yourself you will never. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Keep envisioning your goal- you in that wedding dress. Then just start tracking consistently. Keep your tracker (or phone, whatever you use) with you at all times. As soon as you take out a piece of food, write it down!!

I know you're under a lot of stress but make time for you. The end result will be so worth it. Just remember to keep your goal in mind at all times and track what you eat. If it goes into your mouth, it goes on the tracker.

Good luck!

This.

At a time when there are a million other things to think about, making time for yourself will save your sanity. This is something you can do for YOU and no one else. Something to take your mind off the last-minute details and stress. When you can say, "Hey, I did a great job tracking my points today," or "Wow, that was a great workout," it balances out a little of the "I'm worried about X, Y, or Z" that inevitably comes up in the last few weeks of wedding planning.

You can do it! Chat Icon

Re: 5 weeks before the wedding....and

I agree with the other ladies...have a positive attitude! Take the time to plan your meals and try to get some exercise in each day even if it is only 30 minutes. Exercise is a great stress reliever. I do not know how your body responds to stress but I usually lose weight. My last fitting was 4 days before my wedding and the dress was VERY fitted- The day of my weding it was lose and had to be pinned to my bra...so if you lose weight with stress 5-10 pounds in 5 weeks is possible although keep in mind that if you lose after your final fitting your dress may not fit properly.

Good luck and try to relax!
