Did you hear what happened in Vancouver?
I can't believe this. There was a huge riot because they lost the Stanley Cup. They lit things on fire, climbing light polls, looting stores, there were 4 stabbings. That's insane.

I never understood the whole looting in your own yard? Like why would you ruin your own town and area? Why wpuld you do it in general. Sad, and disgusting.

I was shocked  , DH commented on how he couldn't understand why people are such fanatics to the point where they lose it if their teams loses. They could have been better sports about it.

i don't understand it at all. I am a huge sports fan, but I don't understand rioting after a loss. Yes, I get a little depressed if my team loses but to go to the extent of what happened in Vancouver is mind boogling to me!

Can't say they're not consistent!
But seriously, where were the cops? I've been to alot of playoff games in my life (not necessarily hockey, but pro sports as a whole) and they're BLANKETED in cops. You can't turn anywhere without seeing one...you kinda have to point a finger at the city for this one for being completely absent in planning for the worst. ESPECIALLY after they've had it happen before.
