would you consider this 2 mcs?

i just dont know why it matters to me..but it does.

i had a chemical last june.
i had a missed mc in march at 8/9 weeks.

i was just sitting here thinking i had two miscarriages this year..and then stopped and thought...should i only consider it one...bc one loss was a chemical?

again i dont know why i am asking this...but still trying to wrap my head around everything ty!

i can only speak for myself..and im sure some dont consider it but i do..

i actually hate the term chemical..to me a loss is a loss

i have never made it passed 5 weeks..never heard a heartbeat..but i was pregnant..for 5 min or 5 weeks and then i was not and to me that is a misscarriage

Re: would you consider this 2 mcs?

I'm not a doctor, so I don't know technically what they would say.

BUT, I would consider it 2 MCs. To put it bluntly, you were PG 2xs. As the pp said, it was 2 losses.

I know it's hard not to keep thinking about it. Do you think you'll feel differently if it's not considered a MC? Better or worse?

I def. Understand why you wouldnt consider it one but i think that yes it is considered a mc. It $ucks because Im sure if you didnt test or even suspect you were pregnant and af came it wouldnt even be a thought in your head since youll just have assumed af was a little late than usually. This is kind of the downside of taking pregnancy test so early. Im sorry :(

I think of a chemical as a very early miscarriage. It is a miscarriage to me. Just because nothing could be visually seen on a sonogram doesn't mean that it wasn't a pregnancy IMO.

Like the pp, I'm not sure if you feel better or worse thinking of it as a m/c, but it personally comforts me to know that was a legitimate pregnancy.

In any case, I'm very sorry for your losses.

Whichever way you feel comfortable thinking about it is your choice and no one will judge you for that, and no one will tell you you're wrong.

But, for me, a loss is a loss. Just don't let OTHER people minimize what you went through.

I recently had a chemical and no one seemed to acknowledge it.. Not my re..he did say he was sorry but didn't treat it as a big deal. My dh and parents didn't think it was a big deal also, so bc of how fast it all went down I don't really call mine a mc. I guess it helps me deal...but it is still sad.

I just had a.chemical pg and I.consider it a mc even though it was early. A lot of people including my doctors think its not a big deal but to me it is loss. I was pregnant and now I'm not. Imo its a mc.

Not sure what the chemical is considered "technically", but in both instances, you found out you were pregnant and then discovered that you weren't anymore. Both were losses and had to deal with the emotions that resulted from those losses...I would def consider them both MCs.Chat Icon Chat Icon

You knew you were pregnant twice so to me they are both losses. Doctors may call it something else but a loss is a loss Chat Icon
