Ok, this might not seem like a big deal to some of you hotties, but this is HUGE for me!

I used to work out in a sport bra with no shirt and not even bat an eye.

Ever since having Cailen, I never thought that would even be a remote possibility. I hated my belly. It took forever for it to stop jiggling even though it wasn't that big.

Today, I went to a Zumba class in shelter island. I wore a tank and a pair of sweats because it was still a little chilly in the morning.

Well, I worked so hard in the class, I had to bite the bullet and tuck my shirt up into my bra. I was sooooo hot, I couldn't deal.

It was the first time in over five years that I did something like that..... And then I got even bolder....

After the class, my shirt was drenched.

I took it off completely, and walked through town to my car and to get coffee in a sport bra (it's very casual here!)

I was so proud of myself. Not just proud of my body and finally getting to the point where I can bare it a little more, but proud of my mental progress to take pride in how I look without being self conscious. That has taken the longest since I had my child.

I know there are ladies who have had 2,3, and 4 kids and have 6 packs a month after giving birth. I only had one and will never have those tight abs ever again. I'm not firm or flat.

But.... This is the best I have looked since giving birth 4 years ago. And I spent so many years hating my body. It's a small, silly thing in the grand scheme if things, but at age 37, it's another step towards growth and acceptance that I could never tap into before.

I know exactly what you're talking about.... good for you!!

I'm a while away from feeling comfortable in just a sports bra....but since starting with a trainer a year ago, I finally feel like I can wear sleeveless shirts in public without scaring people! So I've been wearing them this summer whenever I feel like it.
Someday soon, I hope to be able to work out wearing a tank top.....that's my next goal!

(Although I probably shouldn't have even been reading this....I'm not one of the "hotties" on here! )

Good for you!! That is a huge accomplishment to feel confident enough to walk around in a sports bra. It's more of an accomplishment (to me) than losing weight or a dress size! That's true confidence.

Congratulations! That is wonderful news! Milestones like that are huge because they speak to the importance of mental, emotional fitness and confidence! Good for you!

I just started not putting on a cover up at the beach to walk to the bathroom!

I used to hate my legs- but now I love them!

After 2 kids I was dreading going to the beach this summer and bought a bunch of 1 piece bathing suits, but this weekend I finally felt confident enough to throw on an old 2 piece.

I'm not strutting yet, but I am comfortable enough to not be embarrassed or self-conscious the whole time.

Oddly enough I'm not there with working out in just a sports bra yet.

Maybe by the end of the summer.
