anyone half marathons in november?
i'm just getting back into running after having a baby in april. i'm going to start training for the cow harbor 10k, but then i think i want to do a half marathon this fall. i would love to do the diva half , but i think it will be too early for me. i'm thinking november would be better for me. are there any local half marathons then?? i dont want to have to wait until the spring.

If you're willing to travel a little the Philly Half in November is alot of fun. It's a great race.

There are a lot in Oct. If you start training now, you should be able to do one in Oct, especially since you're not a new runner. There is also the Staten Island Half Oct 9th, that would give you an extra week.

I ran the full in Hartford last year and it was a great experience...they do a really nice job!
Also, the same weekend is the Mohawk-Hudson Full and Half in Albany. Small but run SO well! but not a closed course, so you can't wear headphones, but you really do get to talk to people while you are running

The first mile is crowded until the half splits off...but its a very wide road and helps you from going to fast. There are some short hills until mile 4 but then pretty flat. It's crazy at one point you are in a colonial farm town with tractor crossing signs, but only 5 miles from the finish in downtown.
There are tons of pace groups. I started with one, but was sick that day and lost them. I picked up another when they came around.
I think I stayed at the sheraton which was really nice.
