Dog panting for no real reason?
Our dog Trixie seems to be panting for no real reason. I noticed it a few weeks ago & I am wondering if I should be concerned. She does it every evening on and off for an hour or so. I did a little research online & she doesnt have any other symptoms but the one thing I am nervous about is heart worms, however she is on meds. Does anyones dog do this? I guess I'll be calling the vet in the morning.

Re: Dog panting for no real reason?
I'm sorry I dont know about heartworms and painting but she could be a little stressed out. Dogs paint when they're stressed out.
I hope everything is okay with your pup, please keep us updated.

Re: Dog panting for no real reason?
My dog does this when he is warm. He has been panting a lot more since the summer started.

Re: Dog panting for no real reason?
I think maybe its because she gets crazy excited when DH & I get home from work. But I just picked her up from her bath & I found a lump on her! I can NOT have another sick dog! It just breaks my heart. They removed a lump on her before we picked her up from the rescuse so I hope its the same thing. Go figure the mutts have the issues but the Sandy has none (knocking on wood). We lost Toby back in Oct & I'm still sad over him.
