For those of you good with Stocks
DH and I want to start investing some of our saving in the stock market. I have been researching some stocks that I would like to invest in but I am wondering what is the best way to go about doing so. I know there are a number of websites out there like E Trade, Scott Trade, etc... Are these good sites to use or should we take a different direction. If these sites are good, which would you recommend? Keep in mind, it's not a lot of $ we are planning on investing- just a couple thousand. TIA

Re: For those of you good with Stocks
We have a broker/advisor who completes the transactions, but also gives recommendations.
I don't have experience with the self-trades though.

I use a broker. I tell him companies I like and he gets me research. Together we take a look at it and decide if it fits in our short and long range plans.

If you don't have a lot of money to invest you could start off with sharebuilder.com.
