Iphone water damage due to sweat
Has this happened to anyone? I ran today with my iphone in the armband like I usually do. I got home and saw the screen was a bit water logged, but the phone is totally usuable. It was SUPER humid during my run and none of my sweat was evaporating. Any tips of how to resolve and prevent this. Any arm band that you recommend to prevent this or should I not run with it when it is 100% humidity outside? HELP!

Re: Iphone water damage due to sweat
This happened to DH. He had it attached to his bike to watch a movie while riding and the sweat dripped down onto it and now it doesn't work right. My advice is to shut it off right away and dry it. We did that with his but it was bad and it isn't fixable we don't think. The buttons on the side to turn it on and off and to adjust the volume no longer work. Do you have yours in a case? I would get a more heavy-duty case and something to cover the screen as well so that less sweat can get into it. Good luck!!

I heard to bury it in a bunch of rice! Something about it soaking up the moisture, but I have no idea if it works or not!

this totally works! my screen completely blacked out, you could only slightly see it under a bright light. I had it in a bag with a drink that leaked (stupid I know) and we were away too so I couldnt get it in rice until 3 days later. I completely submerged it in dry rice and the screen popped back on after a few hours, it was crazy!

Re: Iphone water damage due to sweat
It stopped working but thankfully was able to get a replcement free of charge. I will retire my armband until cooler weather. My conclusion is that the excess sweat and humidity contibuted to this. Have to be even more vigilant from now on.
