Disney Trip

After much anxiety about our trip to Disney, we had an amazing time. We did go with help ( my parents, sister and brother in law came too). DD was 10x times better than I ever expected. We actually had her school write a letter so we could get a disability pass. Not once did anyone from Disney ask to see it or give us any hard time about anything. They were amazing in accomodating Emma. She didnt like the bus at all ( the noise that the bus makes when they lower it, terrified her). She was aprehensive to go on many of the rides but not having to wait long helped. Once she was on the rides she was fine and came off very proud of herself...saying "I did it!" Needless to say, I expected the worst but was so proud of how she handled herself.
To anyone going to Disney, I would highly recommend the pass.....go with the flow....and enjoy every little accomplishment!

Can I tell you I did not know about this pass until AFTER I got back from Disney and had a HORRIBLE time. DS was terrible he has no patience and we waited on some lines for more than an hour. I think we got on 5 rides total? What a nightmare and waste of time for anyone. Its so awesome to know that they have that pass. I know its hard for anyone to wait but especially our special needs kids!

I think we may try it again WITH THE PASS! Glad to hear your trip went well!

We went last year with the pass.

Anyone can say anything about Disney but they are AMAZING for people with disabilities/Special Needs.

For the first after DS was diagnosed, did someone gave us a break.

We had an amazing time there. It was such a welcome break too. The pass made the whole experience just amazing.
