Question for HR reps...

In a few months I will be unemployed and hopefully going on interviews for a new job. What are they not allowed to ask you about? I believe that they cannot ask your age or your family situation, but is there anything else that they should not be asking about? It's been years since I went on an interview and I just want to be up to date on the new laws. Thanks.

I am not in HR but have done interviewing before.

I think those are the major ones, but they can get things like age I believe from your application or driver's license anyways.

I also think sometimes questions can be worded in such a way that the employee will answer if they have a family or other committments. (i.e. can you work long hours, be on call, etc.).
