Anyone work in HR?
I'm considering an eventual change into this field. I wondering what the day to day responsibilities are in this field and / or required education.

Re: Anyone work in HR?
I worked in HR for 10 years. Just changed jobs. Depends on what you do: recruiting, employee relations, compensation, org development- there's a lot. I was a generalist so I did a little of everything. I liked recruiting but I hated employee relations. If you do get a degree it's important to know employment law. I have a BS in business but our dept asst did not have a college degree and did admin stuff but learned on the job. FM me if you have any questions.

Re: Anyone work in HR?
I have a master's in HR and teach college HR classes (needed a doctorate to teach).
Most of the students in my grad classes are having a difficult time getting jobs in HR since the departments are laying off HR as they lay off other employees. It's a hard field to break into now w/ no experience, IMO.
