Before care
Can you do before care in kindergarten 1 day a week instead of 5? What does it generally cost? We are in sachem if anyone has that specific info. Thanks!

Yes. You pay as you go. Before Care is $5 a day and aftercare is $10 a day. The application is due this Friday. However, I would register all 5 days just in case you ever need it and only send her the day you want
ETA: You can pick up the application at Samoset

7-9:15. Yes would be $25 for the whole week but if you sign up for whole week and only use 1 day, it is only $5 but if you sign up for whole week, it gives you the flexibility in case you need to send her a different day or an additional day one week. Make sure you go this week. If you don't sign up by Friday, you have to wait until 2 weeks after school starts to enroll

My school is $11/day for after-care. Think it is $8 for before care. I don't use it but am signed up for it in case I ever need it.
You do have to sign up soon though or you won't be able to get in the first week.

Nokomis and Tecumseh are $11 after care and $4 before care bc they have an 8:30-2:30 school day. The other 10 sachem elementary schools are $10 aftercare and $5 before care with a 9:15-3:15 school day

Thanks for the info! We got the paperwork. The only thing I am confused about is how we pay. We went on sachem.edu and I dont see an acct for before/after care. How do you pay them for services?

it is something payforit.com or something. It's the same place that you have to pay for the lunches on. You can send in the paperwork and set this up before school starts.

Yeah, I havent found out about lunches yet either. Though it scares me a little since dd will pick up everything under the sun and then throw in the garbage. She will give us some lunch bill

They only take out for the days used, not what you have down for what you might need.
