how much protein?
after reading about the south beach diet i am just wondering how much protein is too much? with some of these phase 1 meal plans they can reach 100g of protein a day! isn't that excessive?

I dont think so. I eat 90 grams of protein each day and I am only 5 ft tall. I have eaten as much as 125-140 grams of protein in the past.

If you end up doing South Beach diet, it is also good to fill up on salads so you don't have to eat as much protein. Also lots of water. Those are the two keys to keeping your digestive system happy during South Beach.
