Cat wont eat his food
DS is constantly playing with the cats food and water. We finally had enough and moved them to our finished basement. We noticed he isnt eating. I havent refilled his dry food in days but he is eating our food. Today he was licking the spoon used to feed DS yogurt so he is sort of eating, just not his food.
Should we wait it out and eventually he will realize he has to eat his food down there or just move it back up?

Re: Cat wont eat his food
I would move the food back upstairs and make sure that there is not something wrong. I have gone through periods that when my cat is stressed she wont eat (like when we moved) but it was not longer than a whole day. Is the food downstairs near something that is stressing the cat out (noise like a boiler or something?). If your cat eats the food upstairs after bringing it up, I might try bringing the cat and the food downstairs and giving him treats that you know he'll eat and putting it in his food bowl.
