Re: oatmeal spinoff
The instant packets tend to have a lot of sugar because usually they're flavored.
I like plain, old-fashioned Quaker oatmeal. I cook it with water, and add in a little splenda.

Re: oatmeal spinoff
I eat instant, but it doesn't have any flavors/sweeteners, etc. The brand I eat is Better Oats Raw Pure and Simple. I like the plain because I can add whatever flavors I feel like (sometimes I add maple syrup, sometimes applesauce and cinnamon, sometimes a little bit of butter and brown sugar).

Re: oatmeal spinoff
Country grain Multigrain oats from Trader Joe. It's not the store brand. It has the highest fiber of the ones I see sold there or WF. Usually I put a few tablespoons in yogurt or make my own muesli and eat with cold milk. Rarely do I cook the oatmeal

I eat plain oatmeal. I put some water in it and microwave it for 2 minutes. I then add a little brown sugar and raisins.

I eat organic oatmeal by Greenway (in Waldbaums). I like the Oats & Flax one, and its instant.

Re: oatmeal spinoff
I use Quaker Rolled Oats plain. I put in a little skim, a handful of raisins and cinnamon and it's done in 2 minutes.

Re: oatmeal spinoff
Steel cut oats in crockpot, I throw it together at night and it is ready as soon as we wake up. So delicious!
1 cup steel cut oats 4 cups water 1/2 cup milk (I use coconut milk) 1 apple -peeled and chopped cinnamon nutmeg vanilla
It might sound like a lot but it takes me less than five minutes. I put it on high for one hour and then warm overnight. Waking up to it all made is so nice, especially with a hungry LO. It also heats up nicely in microwave. One batch lasts dh, ds and I a couple of days.
