Pink eye - besides drops does the doctor give you anything?

Ugh. My eye allergies have been so bad that I have been rubbing them SO hard, constantly!!! They then stopped itching for a day and then WHAM one of my eyes is pink crusty and goopy!!! And of course I am an elementary PE teacher so I see the whole school 2-3x a week and get more high fives than anything!

I hate pink eye so much! I just cant remember- Vigamox and ____ anything else? I have a brand new Vigamox, never opened b/c in the past the doc prescribed it but it got better and went away, right away. Thanks.

Can't remember what meds were prescribed last time my SD had pink eye, but I remember doc saying to put a warm, wet washcloth over her eye to loosen/remove the crust and yuck in and around her eyes.

there is an over the counter medicine for Pink eye....I usually find it at Walgreens. My daughter came home from School on a Friday before a family cruise with a notice that Pink Eye was making its way thorugh the class. I thought...Great now we are going away and I won't be able to get a script if she does end up with it. So I called the pediatrician to see if she had any ideas or advice...she told me of the over the counter medicine. My daughter did wake up with the next morning...and the i can say that it worked...and quickly too
