Pink Eye! Need help with the drops
Does anybody have any good advice on how to give a 14 month old eye drops for pink eye? My son keeps fighting me and I feel like the drops are not staying in. Any suggestions?

Re: Pink Eye! Need help with the drops
My Ped never gave us the drops b/c he said it was too hard to give a toddler eye drops. Just prescribed us an antiobiotic and it was better by the next day.

I would sit on him. Hold his arms above his head, and with thst arm hold my elbow to his forehead. Plop, plop, drops in. It was like an olympic sport, but they got in.
Dont ask how I brush his teeth.

Re: Pink Eye! Need help with the drops
DD#2 has pink eye right now and we've been giving her drops. She's 15 months so we give her a bottle, lay her down on the floor and put the drops in her eyes. She's distracted by the bottle and doesn't fight us. Our ped also suggested putting the drop in the corner of her eye (by her nose) and once she opens her eye the liquid will go in. She's been on the drops since Monday and her eye looks so much better already.

Re: Pink Eye! Need help with the drops
Our ped told us her eyes could b closed. She likes laying on r couch with her tissue to wipe her eyes when we were done. A very small amount has to make it into the eye, and when they blink, it goes in.

Re: Pink Eye! Need help with the drops
I sit on him and put the drop into the corner of the eye. Picture it about a week ago, when my 37 week pregnant butt needed to sit on my 18 month old to put drops in. I hate pink eye!
