Time for Baby #2!

Saying goodbye....
To our furbaby, Chewie. Yesterday, after a few weeks (following almost a year) of significant deterioration, we took Chewie to the vet. Not only has he lost 25% of his body weight in about 5 months (down to 6 lbs, from 8 lbs - major for a tiny guy), the tests show that he is in the beginning stages of kidney failure and has a large, growing benign brain tumor that is causing serious dementia and discomfort. There isn't much that can be done, so we have made the decision to put him to sleep . Don't know exactly when yet, but in the next week or so. We know its the right decision, but he's our baby and I'm going to miss him!

I'm so sorry that you have to make this decision. What a cutie pie.
I had to do it when my cat was sick with cancer. He was in pain and could not eat. It would have been cruel fo me to let him go on.
Hardest decision I ever had to make.
Chewie will always be in your heart.

OMG he is so adorable. I am so sorry you are going through this. Just know that you are doing the kindest thing for him that you can, even though it is the hardest thing. My prayers are with you and Chewie...
