Looking for a new camera, please recommend
My camera has officially hit the bucket and I am in the market for a new one. I think I want a step up from the basic point and shoot, but also know I don’t need a professional photographer camera either. I just wanna be able to take nice pictures of my dd.

What's your budget? Not just for the camera but for everything: (bag, lenses, etc etc).
Also, what camera do you have now?
I can give you some ideas based on those 2 questions.

Kmart has a great deal on a Nikon D3100... with the discounts it comes out to $404

I just tried and it came out to $653? 
I need to replace mine too so that would have been perfect.
