is this an old wive's tale or is there evidence to it?

I would like to know how long is the "fertile" phase supposed to be? Is it a few weeks after the m/c? A few months?

i got pregnant with my twins not long after a m/c. don't know if it was a coincidence or what, but i think it was related.

I've had a d&e and d&c .. If anything .. I became less fertile   Although, yes I have definitely heard people tend to be more fertile after these things! Andy even told me the body "remembers" how to get pregnant. I think my body is just stupid or something!!  Or has REALLY bad amnesia!!

From the little I found, its supposed to be the month after your m/c cuz you still have elevated levels of progesterone.
but i couldnt really find much.

I think its true. And I think the fertile time after a MC is about 3mths (so Ive read and heard). It took me 6mths to get pregnant, then I had a MC then got pregnant 2mths later..so I think its def. true.

I got pregnant the first month trying after my MC. I had to do IVF for the boys, so for me, the old wives' tale = true.

I had a miscarriage in march and then was pregnant again the end of april. Both times were IUI, but I think there may be some truth to it.

I honestly believe it varies. In my case, I don't think its true. We conceived my son the second month trying, this time around we're not so lucky. Its been 2 months since my m/c and nothing.

I've never heard of this before but I think it might be true. I miss carried last month. My dr told me to wait one cycle before ttc. Yesterday I found out I was pregnant again.

After my first two miscarriages, I got pregant pretty quickly. I think it's pretty true. This time around I am meeting with a specialist and need a lot of tests done before we can try again. i hope the process is quick so we can try again soon!

This is a good article in Time Magazine from last year about whether women should wait to try again after mc.
