Joggers/runners - Q about body changes
This is going to sound weird.
I just started adding jogging to my workouts a couple of months ago and I've noticed two things. First is that the calf muscle on my right leg is visibly larger than that of my left, and more defined. It's not freakishly different, but definitely noticeable to me.
Second is that looser dress slacks and workout shorts now seem to pull to the side. Like the zipper portion is not in the center, it pulls to my right side, and the back seam then pulls to the left.
I thought the pant/short pulling was my imagination or because my clothes are fitting looser now. But they both seem to be leading me to the idea that I'm somehow strengthening my right side more than my left.
Is this something you've experienced or am I crazy? I don't know how I'd even begin to change this.

Re: Joggers/runners - Q about body changes
maybe you are naturally stronger on the right, so because your left is weaker, you depend on your right side more and work out that side more... its not totally uncommon but its something you should work on. make sure your posture is straight when you run/jog and also that you have the same impact on your left leg that you have on your right. I have bad knees so i went to physical therapy and then told me my left leg is also weaker, so when I was doing exercises, like anything really, my right leg was doing more and my left leg was kind of lagging behind (very hard to notice unless its pointed out). so i have to make sure I am equally using my left foot/leg during exercises.
