3 days a week. with a day or two off in between. If I work out those other days, I do something different. Running every day would be too much for me.

I run 6 days a week. You absolutely need to take off at least one day a week. Your body needs a day to rest. If you want to cross train on the seventh day (do something other than running) than that is a good alternative to running everyday.

I agree with Christina - you need to take a day off for your muscles to repair.
I take off either Fri or Sat (depending on what my plans are) and sometimes Mondays (Sundays are my long day)

Before my week off break, I ran 6 days a week - I may bring it down to 4-5, and throw in a different workout on another day. You ALWAYS need a recovery day

Re: Runners/joggers do you run everyday or do you take a day off?
When I did run (haven't in a long time), I started out running about five days a week. Then, I had an injury and started riding a bike and swimming a lot. When the injury healed, I started to run again, but kept up the swimming and biking, so at that point I only ran 3 or 4 days a week. I swear the cross training improved my running time and stamina.

I always take a day off after my long run. Your body needs at least one day to recover. I normally run 3 days during the week and one long run on the weekend. I try and do yoga 1 or 2 days on days that I am not running to help prevent injuries.

Re: Runners/joggers do you run everyday or do you take a day off?
I usually run 4 times a week. I take 1-2 days off after a long run for my body to repair itself. I usually run 3-4 miles 3 times a week and then 6 + on the other day.

Re: Runners/joggers do you run everyday or do you take a day off?
I do 4x a week as well. I do 2 moderate runs (3-4 miles), 1 shorter run and 1 long run (5+) per week. I also do total body strength training on one of my "off" days and split upper and lower body strength training on 2 of my running days.
