Resonable cost Dentist??
I just went to a place for the first time and they charge between $199-$289 for EACH cavity to be filled...I have a few and I need a crown and a heavy duty cleaning. My expected bill for this was $4000!!!!
There has got to be a better way?
I have no dental insurance.
tIA!
Oh and south shore Eastern Nassau/Western Suffolk preferred.

Re: Resonable cost Dentist??
Look into EDP dental plans. I pay $99 for the year and the dentist and most dentists that I know of take it. The only fillings I've had to pay for are the white ones, the silver ones are covered.

I think youre in Lindy or close?
Try Dr Kahl, he's on Wellwood across from the Outback shopping center, in a small house. 957-8520
He's my favorite doctor and I bet they would work with you on pricing if you let them know the situation and that you dont have insurance.

was looking into it. On the EDP website it shows that a silver filing is like $ 55 or something? You dont pay for them? Do you pay anything, like the office visit etc when you go for a silver filling for example?? TIA!!!!

it depends on what plan u pick. i think the prices on there are the average prices u would pay but not the exact. you usually only pay for whatever was done like just the silver filling. fm me for more info.

Re: Resonable cost Dentist??
I sent you an FM. With EDP you pay the yearly fee to join and then you pay per visit whatever you got done for the visit. So if you got an amalgam filling it would be 35 for the visit instead of the 150 that the Dr normally charges. You can't beat the savings! Just be careful where you go I know of several offices in W Suffolk you should stay away from.
