Average amount of hours from EI?
So after a couple of months of evaluations etc, my nephew has been approved for 15 hours a week of therapy from EI, including OT, speech, and feeding and special ed, and family therapy.
He is almost 15 months now
Just wondering how much therapy other kids that age are getting, and if thats high or low from early intervention
ETA: with all therapy including family therapy it is about 21 hours a week

My son started ABA at 2 and got 20 hours a week. I think for 15 months it sounds fine, if she's not happy and thinks he needs more they can always ask for an increase at his 3 month.

2.5 years ago DS was approved for 10 ABA sessions. So it was 15 hours. Then we upped to 20 hours. OT, Speech, PT.
But they are cutting services now. It's hard to get 10 sessions per week. They start you with 5 now.

For a child that age I think this sounds appropriate. I am a therapist and the ABA sessions are most productive in the first hour/ hour and a half. Your sister can ask for more hours at the six month meeting if she feels he is ready.

DS started at 19 months with 20 hours a week. He is going on his 5th month and its been INCREDIBLY!!!

DS#1 has gotten 2 hours of speech and 1 hour of OT from EI.
I live in PA and that is about average. Most people only get 1 hour of each.
