Anyone have an incomplete miscarriage like this?
We found out about our loss over two weeks ago. As of Tuesday, I still had what they called "products of conception" in my uterus and my beta was 2,781 (up 19pts from the week before )
The dr says this is all ok so far and that it should start going down soon and it could take up to 6wks for it to all go away.
The reason we haven't done a d&c is because I'm trying to avoid it since it would be detrimental to my uterine lining. Even though I probably won't be pregnant again, we still don't want to destroy all possibilities since I'm young.
Anyone have a situation like this? I'm worried from things I've been reading online that if you have the tissue there for more than 2wks it can cause an infection.

Re: Anyone have an incomplete miscarriage like this?
I didn't get an infection but I did have a problem with one loss. For one reason or another, when I followed up with my RE, they didn't do bloodwork to confirm that it was complete. I believe it was because the soon at the hospital indicated that I had passed everything already. It was wrong. Over the next few weeks I complained of pain and cramps and thatan be normal but it wasn't, I didn't actually pass the rest of the tissue for about a month, maybe a bit less, I don't remember. Then they did bloodwork to confirm that my betas were at 0 again. I could've gotten sick from it but luckily I didn't.

That must be so frustrating!!! I'm sure you must be ready to move on from this, would you consider going the holistic route? I know there are some herbs you can take that can help move things along and help your uterus to expel everything that's left. I think raspberry leaf and blue cohosh might be 2 of the herbs. Can you talk to Dr. B? A midwife would be the best person to talk to if there is one in your OB's office though.
