It's back, when are they going to catch this pervert!!?
(01/12/12) NORTH MERRICK - Police are warning young girls in Nassau County this morning after they received reports of a white van approaching three young girls in two separate incidents.
One 13-year-old girl says she was approached by the van near William Street in North Merrick on Tuesday.
Last week, two girls in North Bellmore say they were approached by the van on Pea Pond Road.
All of the girls ran home after the incident and told their parents, who informed Nassau police.

EVERY available unit in each precinct where this is being reported needs to be covering the area where these kids are walking at arrival and dismissal.
This guy hasn't "caught" a girl yet, and he's going to start getting more and more frustrated and more likely to be violent.
This has been going on for WEEKS and Nassau PD higher-ups should be ashamed that they're not being more proactive about this.

Thats scary. Just out of curisosity does the School District notify parents that this is occuring in the area? I hope that they are to give parents a chance to to make arrangements to be avialable and pick up their children.
I get a call for every little thing, but there has been 2 occasions where i got a call advising of a suspicious person in my area stopping kids as they got on or off the bus. on those days, the other mothers and i made it a point to walk home all the kids from our stop (some of the 4th adn 5th graders walk by themselves home)

There was an incident with the same description in Wantagh as well. I know that wantagh and bellmore SD parents were notified, but I don't know if it was a district wide notice or localized the the specific area. IMO everyone should be notified in all surrounding areas. Every time I get one of these reports I make it my FB status to spread the word.

I saw it on the news the other day. I'm not even sure it's the same person from our neighborhood (Melville) because while it's a white van my neighbor described a younger guy.
I do not believe a plate still hasn't been recorded.

The way I look at it anyone living on Long Island should be aware of this guy! I mean, what is stopping him from driving for 30 minutes and doing it somewhere else?!? I hope they catch this guy!!!
