Need help w/ Longwood CPSE
I have a friend who just adopted a 3 year old son from Russia. She has concerns re: his speech/fine motor so she called the school district & they gave her the runaround, saying if he's not in special ed they can't help him????
Does anyone have a person's name or exact number to call? (I'm not familiar w/ the school district or anything). Thank you

She should call and request that he be evaluated and their process is on the website too.

If she isn't getting any results this way, I would show up at their office and ask for an appointment or hand deliver a letter, requesting a meeting, with a copy to the district superintendant.
He can't be in special ed, until they evaluate him and determine whether or not he needs services, but THEY are the ones who are supposed to figure that out.

He would have to be evaluated first if he has not received any services. It is just the way it goes.
