I swear to God that the last 5-7 times that I bought fast food, something has been missing from my order. I must have like 5 free meals waiting for me to come and pick up because I always call and complain. What is wrong with these incompetent people who
work there???

This is why I always check the bag before I drive away. It happens frequently. The worst is when they don't give me a straw. How the heck am I supposed to drink it! Another reason why I hardly eat fast food...

Same here. One woman at BK was insisting I move. (Was she going to get in my car?) I kept insisting I wasn't going to until I checked the order and that I would probably be gone by now if you stopped talking to me. 
Another time they got my order wrong 3 times and kept telling me I could keep the wrong items. That made no sense - if it was something I wanted to eat, I'd be home eating by then. But when they came out for the third time with sacks and sacks of food - most of it wrong and some things I never ordered I completely lost my mind and demanded a refund.

Was it Wendy's? I find them to be the worst. I don't care who I'm holding up, I will sit at that drive thru window and count french fries until I'm sure I have my whole order. 9 times out of 10, something is missing.

my chinese take out does this all the time...when delivered...one time i made them come back for 2 egg rolls bec it had happened almost every time before that!
now my DH goes and picks up to check before leaving!!

It may also just be that I go through Wendy's drive thru more often. I never go to BK (though their new fries are really good!) and usually go into McDonald's. The closest drive-thru McDonald's by me is the most expensive McDonald's in Queens! So we usually go to Wendy's instead.
